This late 1800’s Victorian home located in London England, has been modernized by drawing inspiration from its original architecture and ornate detail. By removing the interior walls to expose the base building structure, we were able to open up the space by redistributing the program. The original decorative cornices, the marble fireplace and the sash windows were restored to layer in an old world touch.
Working with local suppliers, we sourced premium materials such as the Calacatta Viola Marble, bespoke kitchen cabinetry and integrated joinery to maximize space. The colour palette and soft furnishings are neutral, light and warm to balance the black architectural detailing and hardware.
